Harriett E. Morrison's Obituary
Decatur – Harriett E. Morrison, 97, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Harriett was born in Kenney, IL, on May 8, 1924, the daughter of Harry and Faye (Sheperd) Henderson. She worked as a secretary for Decatur Public School District 61 at Garfield Elementary School for 34 years. She was a member of Forsyth United Methodist Church and volunteered at the DMH Gift Shop. Harriett married Wilbert E. Morrison on November 14, 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Keith and Hale and one sister, Reva.
Harriett is survived by her sons: Greg (and Diane Biscan) Morrison of VA, and Doug Morrison of Decatur; four grandchildren (Jeff and Scott Morrison and Lisa (Bud) Banks and Adrianne (Barak) Allen and five great grandchildren (Bella and Mya Morrison, Jake Turner, Adam and Kailey Allen); along with many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 12 pm until the service time of 1pm. A private family burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DMH Gift Shop or Forsyth United Methodist Church.
