Dan and I are so very heartbroken about the loss of our dear friend Doug, He will be greatly missed. They only made one of him, he was a very special kind of man. Love to all the family and friends.
Our deepest sympathy to Carol, David, Tina and families.
Four E's Trees will not be the same without Doug. Rest well, Doug, and enjoy all those great cookies in heaven.
There were many topics that Doug and I could find common ground on but we were about as far apart as two people can be on others. Even with our differences though I quickly learned that Doug was someone I could depend on to respectfully show me the world from his perspective. He never failed me, not once, and I will never find another like him. His opinions were genuine for what he believed to be right and wrong and his thoughts on any subject were deep. I will always remember his laugh, that bold and booming voice, his way of weaving profanity into conversation like a tapestry, and most of all for having such a firm grasp on the world around him. He will be missed by many and I am proud to have known him as family. Mike Covey
I have known Doug since I was 16 and met him along with Terry Thompson at the old Kmart in MTZ. Good times!
Doug was more than amazing. He and I were good friends since we were 16, 17 years old. We had more adventures than I can count. One that sticks out is when he took me bow hunting for deer and I was in a tree stand. This was the first time I shot a bow and arrow and heard some rustling in the bushes and shot at it. Low and behold I shot a possum. We both laughed so hard we cried. I will miss you Doug!!
