JIM WAS A GREAT BIG BROTHER. HE HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE LOSING;CARD GAMES, ETC., HE EXPECTED OTHERS TO BE AS GOOD AT THEM AS HE WAS. HE WAS A GOOD BASEBALL PITCHER. BECAUSE I WAS A SOFTBALLCATCHER HE MADE ME CATCH SOME REALLY HARD BASEBALL PITCHES.AS HE PRACTICED. I love my big brother. Ruby
Uncle Jim was a wonderful man. He was an inspiration to me, because I saw him as not only a strong husband and father, but a loving, caring son to my grandma and a loving, caring brother to my mom. He was also loved like a brother by my dad. I dearly loved and respected him and am glad to have called him my uncle. I know he will be greatly missed by his family but I can envision the reunion that took place in heaven with grandma Rogers, my mom and dad and Uncle Raymond. Love you Uncle Jim!
My brother Jim is almost 13 years older than me and therefore we were not close growing up. He did become my surrogate Father after our Dad died. Sometimeshe drove me crazy with "be careful, or dont run out in the street without looking!!",but I know I learned from his advice. He and Prue also took me to my first St. LouisCardinal baseball game when I was 10 or 11 and I still remember the line-up for theCardinals! I thanked him more than once over the years because I never forgot that moment. He also gave me my nickname which has stuck with me all these years! He also gave me good advice at an important time in my life that I will not forget. Hewas always interested in what I was doing, whether work or just pleasure. I also knewI was grown up in his eyes when he called me once several years ago and asked formy advice on an investment he was thinking about. I will certainly miss him, but I will always be thankful that he is my brother. God Blessyou, Brother Jim. Del "Buck" Rogers
