Jeanne was always a ray of sunshine! When I worked at WILL she greeted everyone with smiles and warmth. She was a grandmother to all of us and celebrated all of our milestones. She was so proud of her own family and loved to tell us about her grandchildren. I am so thankful that I knew her. I was so fortunate to have worked with Jeanne for years at WILL-TV. I just adored Jeanne. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. If I was ever down, I knew I could go out into the WILL lobby and see Jeanne just smiling away. She had the ability to lift your spirits because she was always so positive. I was one of a group of former WILL employees who met with Jeanne for lunch on a monthly basis. She was just with us a few months ago. We always parted from those lunch gatherings with a heartfelt hug from Ms. Jeanne. She was genuine. She always had the best stories from her assisted living place and made us all smile. I will miss seeing and talking with her but I know that an amazing angel has arrived in Heaven. We miss you Jeanne. Love to all your family. Anita Stein

Jeanne was one of the nicest, most considerate, and kindest people I've ever known. I have known her since 1994, and have so many great memories. I'm glad I got to see her so much these past few years after she moved to Decatur. She was a star at her assisted living place; no wonder they made her "Queen" a few years ago! Jeanne was always upbeat and proved that attitude is everything. She and my mom were born two days apart and they both always got a kick out of that. Jeanne was the most perfect example I have of someone who really lived life, and who didn't have time for negativity. I hope to be like her as I get older, but there can only be one Jeanne. When we used to go out for lunch in Champaign, Jeanne knew someone wherever we went. She always knew all the waiters, asked about their kids, etc. She truly loved people, and they loved her. I'm thinking about you guys – Jeanne's bright spirit will never be extinguished.
When I think of Jeanne I also think of my mother because they were so alike – always a smile and a friendly hello and seeing the best in everything and everyone. She was a classy and wonderful human being. I missed her when she retired, seeing that smile every day.We used to create a video for our Christmas party and one year Jeanne was cast as "The Grumpy Customer." I still remember her saying, "I can't be mean. It's hard for me to be mean." How true.My sympathy all her family.Jeff Cunningham
