I worked with John in the Pipe Shop at Staley's. He was a character and a good person to know. I was shocked to learn of his passing in the Decatur Tribune. My thoughts, prayers and condolences to all his family members and friends. He will be great missed.

So sad to see him go He was my boss and super great friend !! I’ve grown to love him , Charlotte and ALL his wonderful children!! He was such fun to be around and will be missed so much. Lots of prayers and love to his family!! Until we meet again, Love you Malisha!!
Thoughts and prayers to the family. John was part of our annual Missouri golf trip back in the day. And, along with his friends was a fixture on Sunday mornings at Moweaqua Golf Course where I checked them in. Every Sunday when they were finished playing, John would stop back in the clubhouse and asked me if I had made their next tee time. More times than not I had already booked it but I still told John no I had not and wasn't going too. My way of busting his chops for busting mine when he came in that morning. I will very much miss our traditional chop busting Sunday morning ritual. I will miss you my friend. God set his tee time schedule for you, so go hit them straight. RIP
I am heartbroken. Such a fun loving man. I don’t know who will pick on me at the Legion now. It will not be the same there.
Praying for his loved ones to have strength and peace that passes understanding.
