John Reynolds' Obituary
Monday, February 27, 2023 John A. Reynolds of Decatur passed away in his sleep at the age of 84. He was born on June 1, 1938. He is the son of Donald Reynolds and Edna (Childress) Reynolds of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. Surviving is his wife Charlotte (Chapman) Reynolds of Niantic. They married October 1, 1962. He has three daughters: Jeri and Dale Bradford of Decatur, Cathy and Corey Waller of Taylorville, Jennifer and Todd Cole of Mount Zion. He also has eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, whom he loved very much.
He graduated from Stephen Decatur. Following graduation, he joined the Air Force. After serving four years he then started working at Staleys where he had worked for 26 years before retiring. He was a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion and the Elks. He loved fishing, camping, playing golf and was a die hard cub fan.
