Laura was one of my mom’s dearest friends from high school. She was in my mom and dad’s wedding 50 years ago and came to celebrate their 40th anniversary 10 years ago. She was always the happiest person with a smile on her face. Rest in peace, Laura. I’m sure you and mom had a great reunion in heaven.
Laura was such a kind and compassionate person. I can think of so many people who benefitted from the help and comfort she provided with Jerry's support. What a wonderful legacy!

Jerry,
We are so sorry to learn of Laura's passing. She was an extraordinarily sweet lady who was always so lively and gracious every time we would see you. Your and Laura's kindness to us both during our time at Millikin University meant a great deal to us. We could always count on a good laugh and heartening good spirits from you two, no matter what was going on at MU. Laura's smile and the good feelings of both of you are among our brightest memories of our time in Decatur. You will be in our prayers and may the memory of Laura's goodness, sweetness, and light be a blessing to you now and forever.

Gerald, my sincere condolences on the passing of Laura. Our times
together at past Millikin Homecomings were memorable and made our reunions so special. Always remember, "In Love and Prayer there is no Distance"

Laura has been a part of our lives for a long time Gerald. She was so encouraging, and her love for Jesus and reverence for God so transparent. May the memories you made together sustain you as God stands with you in the days ahead.
