Lit a candle in memory of Mark Rau
Mark was a good school friend of mine. I remember going to our first state choral contest together as part of a men's trio ensemble. There are many great memories of our high school days. May god bless you, Mark.
So sorry to hear of Marks passing. He was such a sweet and kind man. Ever time I would see him he had a smile on his face.
We all lost a very good friend way to early in life. We all will miss him greatly.
To Mark's family: we greatly enjoyed the hours we spent with Mark. He was a gentleman with a great laugh. We miss him on Earth, but know he is free of pain in Eternity.Gina Carr & Philip Ingold

Where to begin with my fondest memories of Mark…They start in the Warrensburg United Methodist Church, where we attended many potlucks with our folks. We went to MYF camp together. (Who could forget the year my dad, Jim Poe, confiscated all our radios at camp.) Mark's musical presence throughout my high school years, where he, Paul Main and Terry Brennan worked together on "Then and Now" productions that rocked! The kareoke nights at The Boomerang in Maroa, where Marcia and I would pick the songs we wanted to hear Mark sing. My favorite was when he sang, "And I Love You So" by Don Mclean. How Mark drove to Gilman to come to my sister Chris's graduation. We had so much fun, he spent the night sleeping on a lawn chair on the front porch. There are so many unmentioned memories, as Mark was one of my favorite people. He will certainly be missed. Kim Simons Jackson
