Gerry, thank you for calling my mother to let us know about your mother passing away. I am deeply sorry I could not make the service and give you my condolences in person. I was given this information yesterday, too late. Mary was a great influence in my young music life. Although Mary was never one of my teachers, she taught me a lot by watching her teach and sharing our "music stories". She showed me how a kind word goes so much further than a negative one. Gerry thank you for calling my husband Joe to let him know that Mrs. Nagy passed away. I started violin with her when I was 4 years old, and evenutally took from Mr. Nagy. I also had the privilege of playing in the Millikin Decatur Symphony with Mr. Nagy for several years after I graduated from high school. Their instruction earned me a talent grant from Millikin that allowed me to go to college, and for that I am so grateful. They attended my wedding, and have always had a very, very special place in my heart.
