Mary Jane Osborne's Obituary
Forsyth – Mary Jane Osborne, 81, of Forsyth, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth, with her family by her side.
Mary Jane was born June 16, 1935, in Decatur, the daughter of Harry and Clara E. (Gosnell) Banfield. A very active member of First Lutheran Church, Mary Jane volunteered for many local organizations throughout her life. She worked as the office manager for her son, Larry W. Osborne, DMD for many years. Mary Jane married William “Bill” K. Osborne December 27, 1953 in Decatur.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; children: Dr. Larry (Nancy) Osborne of Forsyth and Carol (Tom) Rose of O’Fallon, MO; grandchildren: Ryan (Mary) Rose, Lindsay (Shawn) Colbert, Brittany (Tamron) Fernandez, Samuel Osborne and MacKenzie Osborne; great grandchildren: Hayden, Carter, Gracie, Ashlynn and Clark. Mary Jane is also survived by the following siblings: Eleanor (Dale) Scott of Decatur, Harry Dean Banfield of Moro, IL, and Wayne (Connie) Banfield of Decatur; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services to celebrate Mary Jane’s life will be 3 pm, Saturday, August 27, 2016, in First Lutheran Church, Decatur. A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 pm in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to First Lutheran Church, Decatur.
