Nadine Miller's Obituary
Decatur- W. Nadine Miller, 89, of Southport, Florida, formerly of Decatur, passed away, Sunday, August 9, 2015, at her daughter and son-in-law’s home.
Nadine was born January 4, 1926, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Lyman and Alberta (Oswald) Davis. She married Otis N. Miller on February 28, 1945, in Oceanside, California. They shared over seventy years together. Nadine worked at Tolly’s Market, Norm’s Camera Shop and retired from K’s Merchandise Mart. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She loved to crochet and was famous for her sugary sweets at Christmas time.
Nadine leaves behind her daughter, Cheryll (Michael) Turner; grandchildren, Dawn (Tony) Hill, Denise (Jeff) Miller-Adams, Brett (Jessica) Turner, and David (Lisa) Miller Jr., six great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Foster of Midwest City, OK and Marilyn (Charles) Logue of Decatur.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otis and son, David Miller Sr.
Private family services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
