Peggy was a kind sister-in-law. I'm married to her husband's brother, Dan. I recall that Peggy was usually quiet during our family reunions, though she would smile and chuckle during precious moments. During 2016, she and Francis were at our house in Pepin, WI for a reunion, and one morning while I was preparing for a large family dinner, I asked Peggy if she wished to watch TV for a while as I was working in the kitchen. I turned on a TV news channel, and she asked me to switch to her preferred news outlet so she could catch up on how things were going in the presidential election. Eventually, Peggy made her way into the kitchen to sit with me and talk about politics, and I was pleasantly surprised about how well-versed she was about the candidates and their policies. She and I shared our opinions with one another and had a lively discussion together. I truly enjoyed that moment with Peggy, and I came to know her just a little bit better. Rest in peace, Dear Peggy.
