Peggy June Fedie's Obituary
Lincoln – Peggy June Fedie, 84, of Lincoln, formerly of Decatur and Argenta, went to Heaven on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Peggy was born on July 31, 1940, in Pawnee, IL, the daughter of Christopher and Marie (Schroll) Wahlsmith. She worked in the housekeeping department at Von Maur for a few years before retiring. Peggy married Francis F. Fedie on June 25, 1954, in Springfield, IL and he passed away on January 8, 2020.
Peggy is survived by her children: Gary Francis Fedie of Maroa, Scott Allen (Angela) Fedie of GA, Dennis Paul (Connie) Fedie of Lovington, Donna Marie (Dennis) Hockaday of Lincoln; 19 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren; sister Betty Ann Dillon of Springfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Victoria June McMahon, granddaughter Nova Regina Fedie, brother Ernest Wahlsmith, sister Frances Louella Dillon, daughter-in-law Kimberly S. “Kim” Fedie, and son in law Mike McMahon.
Visitation will be from 10am until the service time of 11am Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Lincoln Christian Village and St. Clara’s Nursing Facility for caring and helping with our mom the past few years. Thank you to Pastor Duncan Smith for officiating the services. Mom loved going to church.
