What a fantastic teacher Dick was! He was such a caring and creative teacher.
I learned so much from him while being his TA. When I started teaching my own class, he was so helpful and supportive.
Looking back at the Sunnyside years, I will always cherish all the fun and memories we had helping the students that we all cared for so much!❤️
To my brother, not by blood but by love, I will cherish all of the fun times and conversations. Especially those around the Beatles and our favorite TV station, HGTV. I will cherish the many years and will always remember spending the day of your retirement with you. I will always have you in my heart.
I remember we discovered a mutual love for the soap opera, “As the World Turns” when we both taught at Sunnyside. When Dick transferred to another school, he would send me VHS tapes of the show through school mail(I didn’t have the CBS channel at the time.). I would watch the tapes and return them to him via school mail. Such a good memory that I still have after all these years.
