Richard C. Dustrude's Obituary
Decatur – Richard C. Dustrude, 72, of Decatur, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025.
Richard was born on September 4, 1952, in Beloit, WI, the son of Royal and Marcella (Reynolds) Dustrude. Richard obtained a master’s degree in special education and moved to Decatur in 1981. He was a member of the Decatur Education Association and worked as a teacher in the Decatur Public School’s until his retirement in 2012. He loved listening to music, going to concerts and his favorite group was the Beatles.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by many good friends and colleagues.
In honor of Richard’s wishes a graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Graceland Cemetery.
