Richard Pete Reish's Obituary
Decatur-Richard E. “Pete” Reish, 63, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at his residence.
Memorial services to celebrate Pete’s life will be 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with the “Flight Home” Ceremony concluding the service. Memorial visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Pete was born August 14, 1945 in Assumption, Illinois the son of Charles William and Alice Lucille (Jackson) Reish. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and in the Naval Reserves. He was employed as an electrician at Caterpillar, retiring after thirty-eight years of service. He was a member of the Moweaqua Masonic Lodge #180 and the Decatur Moose Lodge. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan and golfer. Pete enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves behind his daughters; Angie Reish, Amy Skelton and husband Gregory, and Kelly Kuhn and husband Zachary all of Decatur, brothers; Charles Reish and wife Carolyn of Moweaqua and Ronald Reish and wife Linda of Granite City, Illinois, and his beloved grandchildren; Kalin, Ashlyn, Payton, and Macy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
