I have known Dick and Rose Vissering pretty much my whole life. I got the privilege of being his Social Service Director at the ARC and let me tell you it was so wonderful to see those beautiful eyes and that smile just light up when we would have our morning talk. Not only did I get to be with him I got to be with his kids and his beautiful wife Rose. I know his family and everyone that has known him also will sure miss him. I bet he is fishing away doing what he loved right now. To the family you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Though Dick was my brother-in-law's father, I had the privilege of getting to know him through my work. I often crossed paths with him in his role as a SCORE volunteer at Millikin University's Center of Entrepreneurship. I looked forward to seeing him at workshops, luncheons, and the Business Expos.

Dick was so easy to talk to - kind, approachable, and always interested in how things were going with my job, school, and family. He remembered those conversations and followed up the next time we met.

Dick was loved by many, and I know he will be deeply missed.

One of the most caring and attentive farm managers , both to the farms and the farmer I was blessed to work under in a forty year carrier on a managed farm ! He was a really fine gentleman ! My condolence to his family !! He was truly one of the Good Ones !!
