Robert “Bob” Eugene Borsay was born in Monessen, Pennsylvania on August 13th, 1919 to Adolph and Rose Borsay. He passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, from complications of pneumonia at the age of 98. Bob was one of six children, he Read Obituary
Mr. Borsay did my senior pictures in 1976. He was so talented and even made me look good. Even after the thousands of pictures he took he would still act like he knew me if I saw him out in public. I am praying for your family during this time of loss.
My only encounter with Mr. Borsay was that monumental day when I sat for my senior pictures. Everybody knew that if you didn't get your pictures taken by Mr. Borsay, you might as well not get them done at all. I still have mine (four decades later), and I cherish them so very much. I remember Mr. Borsayâ??s patience, beautiful Homecoming photos, such a gift he was to all who were able to experience his kindness over many, many years. My sincere sympathy. Frau Parriott, retired SDHS.
Bob was such an intelligent and entertaining person – with his love of family, photography, bowling(amazing, considering his sight impairment) and "words." I truly enjoyed visiting him and Lois at the various places life brought them. He loved to give dictionary quizzes – always asking the definitions of elaborate words – he got such a kick out of using them in conversations. And what a story-teller! He led such an interesting life and could captivate any audience. His popularity at the different care facilities could easily be explained that he never knew a stranger and treated everyone as though they were old friends. Bob was such a wonderful conversationalist and dedicated Catholic Christian. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Lois and Bob at their home and at the different care facilities, as did our Visitation Circle volunteers from Our Lady of Lourdes Church. It is hard to accept the loss of an uncle, a God fearing man, who I admire and love. We had many wonderful memories from my childhood to present, reminiscing one each time we talked.
