Thank you Duncan for those great memories! May he now rest in peace!
Crae,Bob was one of the first people I met when Nancy and I moved to Scottsbluff. We met at a Cub Scout recruiting night in Chadron where he became the Cubmaster and your mother became a Den Mother. We became groupies for the band. Bob did a great rendition of Freddie Fender's "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights". He and your Mom got us into driving up to spend evenings with Crazy Louie. I still have the turquoise ring he taught me to make. He was there when Duncan was born…and Cara loved the hot tub and he taught her to make snow angels…that was like 35 years ago….when we went over to Gordon for New Years Eve I'm not sure if you babysat Felicia or she babysat you, but you guys probably had more fun than we did. Your Dad was a great friend! He will be forever in our memories….May he be at rest.Duncan Mackie
Bob, came into my life as a young adult. He was annoying, bossy, a bit demanding, blunt, honest, genorous, empathetic, compassionate, talented, knowlegeable, humorous, hard working, independent, and very caring. All the ingredients of a great step dad and awesome grandpa. Not everyone can choose they're family but when it came to my mom and sisters and Bob we did choose. Our children know him as grandpa my mom calls him her best friend. For my sister's and I he's dad. We will all miss him dearly. And I am fortunate enough to have had him in my family''s and be a part of his.
Bob and I grew up as children and 2 adults played in the band with him several times I will miss him as a brother best of friends lots of memories I've have of our past my condolences to the family A Bob horse
