Decatur-Robert A. Mixell, 88, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, formerly of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Robert will be held 1 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at Gracela Read Obituary
l knew some of his family before I knew he and his wife.
I had the privilege of driving them back to Arkansas late in his life. They were great entertainment on that trip.

We first met Robert in the early 60 th.Robert gave us our first impression of decatur, (we just moved here from M t Vernon) Robert always had a smiling greeting, this spoke well for Decatur. Dan, Steve, Johanna and families:I have the fondest memories of Bob as not only was he my first boss in Decatur, but he was like a second Dad to me. If it wasn't for him, I would not have started my own garbage disposal business as well. Your Mom and Dad were close friends with my parents, and I remember all the fun times and trips they shared together. I felt honored to know all the family.
