Bob, our brother Bill, some of their friends, and I went swimming in the St. Mary's river down past Clyde's hamburger stand. There was a raft anchored partway out in the river and everyone but Bob and me swam out to the raft. I couldn't swim and Bob was trying to teach me how to float. One of the guys yelled for Bob to join them and he yelled back that he was helping me. The guy said something like, "Screw him". Bob yelled back, "Screw you" and continued helping me. After a while I told Bob to go on out to the raft and I'd just hang out in the shallow water. He swam out there but I never forgot that incident. He was a good brother.
