Robert E. Pollock Sr's Obituary
Clinton- Robert Edward Pollock, 61, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital.
Honoring Bob's wishes, cremation will be accorded at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
Bob was born August 25, 1950 in Clinton, Illinois, the son of Walt 'Gink' and Helen (Watson) Pollock. Bob was a Musician. He loved singing with his wife (Shelley), playing guitar and played in several bands. Bob opened the Where Else on Washington St. in Clinton to support local music. He always did things his own way and fought for what is right. Bob was a proud Marine who served from 1970-1974. He drove a truck–without a need of a turbo to get to his destination– as a profession. Most of all he loved his family.
At Bob’s request, in lieu of a funeral or a visitation, family and friends will honor him by getting together and playing music.
Bob is survived by his wife Shelley, brothers; Terry (Diane) Pollock, Ron (LeeAnn) Pollock, children; Robert Edward Jr. (Cyndi), Wesley (Michelle), Stephanie, Travis, and David, grandchildren; Clayton 'Wally', Jayce 'Wink', Kristianna 'Mama Roo', and Wesley 'Bow Tie'.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family of Bob is being served by Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
