Ronald Eugene Middleton's Obituary
Ronald Eugene Middleton, 53, of Decatur, left this life to be with the Lord Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Ronald was born September 21, 1960 in Decatur, IL, the son of Daniel and Joyce (Trudeau) Middleton. Ronald enjoyed being outdoors and liked to go camping, boating, and fishing. His hobbies included model airplanes and boats. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
Ronald leaves behind his companion and angel, Carol Gooch of Decatur, IL; father and stepmother, Daniel and Doris Middleton of Assumption, IL; daughter, Renee Middleton of Hillsboro, IL; siblings, Kathy (Phillip) Barrish of Decatur, IL; Trina (Timothy) Stemple of Cerro Gordo, IL; Daniel (Sondra) Middleton Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN; Jessica (Marvin) Bland of Pana, IL; Andrew Middleton of Charleston, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; brother, James Middleton; grandparents; and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service to celebrate Ronald’s life will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Decatur.
The family would like to give special thanks to Carol Gooch for being by Ronald’s side for the last six years. She was his “true love,” companion, best friend, and “angel.” There are no words that can express how grateful we are, and how appreciative we are for her being there for him. There is no way we can ever pay her back for everything she has done.
