Mrs. Littke was my first grade teacher in Argenta and also my fourth grade teacher. She was present at my wedding and came to see my two daughters when they were born. She was a wonderful teacher and family friend. She shared my achievements in life and was there for me when I needed her. Her husband was a patient assigned to me when I was a student nurse at Decatur Memorial Hospital. I visited with Mrs. Littke at her home many time over the years even spending the night once when she still lived in Decatur, and I always had to play the piano for her. I have many cards and letters that I have saved over the years and will cherish each and everyone of them for years to come. I lost track of her a few years ago and realized that she must have gone to MA to live with or near her children. Now I know just where she is, I have missed her for a long time, but she has always been in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you Mrs. Littke, until we meet again.
Sent a gift in memory of Rosa Littke
Mrs. Littke was my second grade teacher at Argenta Grade School in 1963. I still have fond memories of her kindness to her students. I also vividly remember her sharing her personal history of escaping from Hungary with her children. It made quite an impact on the understanding of the atrocities of war. My sincere sympathy goes to her family.Louise Wallace KiddByron Center, MIchigan
