Sandra Kay Hart's Obituary
Sandra Kay Hart, 74, of Decatur, Illinois, died at 3:15am on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Loft Rehabilitation of Rock Springs in Decatur.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7p on Thursday, June 12, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home.
Sandy was born in Decatur on March 18, 1951, the daughter of Lloyd D. and Mildred P. (Hollingsead) Mahon. She married Paul F. Hart on November 5, 1983, in Decatur. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Sandy worked for many years as an accountant/bookkeeper, but her real passion was taking care of her family. She loved and cared for her own relatives, and when she saw a need, she opened her heart and her home to others beyond her immediate family. She was a faithful attendant at every sports game that her children and grandchildren played. She enjoyed a good game of Bingo or bowling, and she was an avid Cub fan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sandy is survived by her daughters Christine Foster and husband Andy Foster of Springfield, IL, Tricia Bremer and husband Kary Bremer of Waseca, MN, and Tonia Hart of Decatur, IL; sons Paul Hart Jr. of Harristown, IL and Sam Hart and wife Emily Hart of Boody, IL; brother Edward Mahon of Mt. Zion, IL and Lloyd Mahon Jr. and wife Dawn Mahon of Spaulding, IL; sisters Pam Mogged and husband Richard Mogged of Decatur, IL and Linda Mahon of Decatur, IL; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and one sister.
