I will forever treasure the friendship Shannon and I had. She was amazing, loving to all, full of life with her perma grin, even when life was throwing her so many curve balls. I was honored, when Shannon asked if I could help out with taking her to her appointments. Of course I was not going to say no & I'm glad I didn't. I was able to see and learn so much during the first year, of her painful road to recovery. We had many, many long talks, lots of laughs, and lot of tears. I still can't believe she has gone to heaven, but I am so relieved she is no longer in pain. I will hold her close to my heart, keeping her in my memories for a life time. I am so grateful we were able to tell one another "I love you much", before it was too late.Daddy Dan, Kasey, Kami, Keenan, Danny and the entire family. Daddy Dan you should be the proudest dad of anyone. She has made an impression on all that have ever met her. She was the bravest, most honest, and loving person anyone would ever want to meet. I will miss her for the rest of my days, as I know you and her children and friends will. I write this with great sadness over the unimaginable loss of a cherished friend. My deepest condolences to her incredible family and numerous friends over the loss of this most beautiful, courageous and special lady. I remember once she and I were talking about something I was struggling with and, she said, â??Look at meâ?, meaning that you never know in life so make change even though itâ??s tough and do the things you want to do and dream about before itâ??s too late. Those three words came across so clear. Shannon was loving and always kept it real. She was a wonderful mother and laid a strong foundation for her children. The many people who love her children will watch over them, as she is, and make sure that they have a great life, full of her values and wishes. Her beautiful spirit will live on through them, and they will always know how much she loved them. During her illness, I know that there were two things that kept her going, her children and hope, otherwise to face another day would have been tough, and I know how many days she must have had like that.Now my hope is that she rest in peace knowing she did all that she could and that her children will be fine. When we love people itâ??s so comforting to know that they will always be with us in our hearts.
