One July 4th get together our grandson was sitting next to Dr May with some strawberries. Dr May reached over and took one of Kurtis strawberries! Kurtis was appalled! "That man took my strawberry!" Kurtis never forgot that! He called him "the strawberry man" with a smile!
We always talked Cubs/Cardinals baseball. When the Cubs won the world series he was showing me the front page of the Chicago Tribune framed of the Cubs winning the series. "What do ya think of that?!" He said. I said "well Doc that's just real nice but the St. Louis Post has 11 of them just like that on their wall!" Haha he was a good friend!
