Shirley Ann Whiteside's Obituary
Shirley Ann Whiteside, 78, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Shirley was born July 10, 1935 in Decatur, the daughter of George and Lucille (Morthland) Koshinski. Shirley was a homemaker who married Jack G. Whiteside on October 21, 1966 in Decatur. Shirley and her husband Jack loved going to Bob Evans for breakfast and Gabby’s for dinner on a daily basis.
She is survived by her daughters: Bridget (Jeff) McIntyre and Jackie (Jeff) Childress of Oakley; grandchildren: Ryan McIntyre of Chicago and Collin Childress of Oakley. Brothers: David (Juanita) Dettling and Rick (Ginger) Dettling of Decatur; sisters: Norma Jesse and Janet (Jim) Engle of Decatur and Sue (Dick) Zerfowski of Mt. Zion; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services to celebrate her life will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association.
