Thomas Lee Irwin's Obituary
Thomas Lee Irwin was born March 26, 1934 in Menard, Co. Illinois. He passed away May 7, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. The only child of Howard Lee and Alma Sallee Irwin. Tom grew up in Cody, Wyoming. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War period.
Tom served as President of the State Association of Consumer Credit Counselors., and worked most of his life in the credit & collection field. He retired in 1998.
Tom married Ann (Perisho) Rudisill in Decatur, Illinois on April 20, 1958.
Surviving are; wife Ann and three children: Timothy L. (David LaPlaca) of Chicago, IL: Sallee A. Taylor (Michael) of Corinth, TX; and Daniel J. (Karen) Wright City, MO.
He also is survived by three beloved grandchildren: Benjamin Irwin (Nicole) of North Richland Hill, TX; Rachel Gregornik (David) of Hurst, TX and Jacob Irwin of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tom enjoyed working with flowers, going to antique shows and helping the Boy Scout troop at Grace UMC.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Decatur Genealogical Society.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at Grace United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church on Friday. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. Memorials suggested to Operation Enduring Support at Grace United Methodist Church or to Grace United Methodist Church.
