The last time I saw my grandpa was the night before he died. we were all looking at him not knowing what to do if he died so we had him cremated.
My sympathies to Tony's family. I last spoke to Tony during a rare return to Lovington more than 16 years ago, and I regret as I mourn his loss that there hadn't been more opportunities. We had shared many wonderful experiences with our great friends and classmates on the journey from kindergarten through graduation of our LHS Class of 1972. Whether it was Boy Scout camping trips, Panther football, Letterman's Club activities, fishing on the Okaw River or Lake Shelbyville, catching double features at the Sullivan Drive-In or struggling to stay above water in the bookkeeping class we shared, Tony was great company. His sense of humor and positive outlook always elevated the experience and made it much more fun, entertaining — and memorable — than it would have otherwise been. Rest in peace, Tony. And thanks.
To Leslie, Jason, Chaz, et al,We extend our sincere sympathies to you all. We have great memories of your family in those times at the sheep barn at the State Fair. Those good times will remain in all our hearts forever.Sincerely, Dave & Ellen Kruse
Rest in peace old friend and schoolmate
