Aunt Vi was always purky and full of life. She loved people and was always full of joy and had quite a memory.She will be greatly missed.
I meet Vi and Paul when Mike and Kris were the Salvation Army Envoy's in Champaign IL. It seems we became friends and family at that time. I also had the privilege to visit them at the home in Florida and then when they moved back to Decatur Illinois. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Vi's Family.
Major Vi was an inspiration to my husband. Captain Dean Sanders and I. For a while there were four sets of retired officers in Decatur and we would gather at each other’s home and enjoy good food and fellowship. Always a time of inspiration too.
Vi was always a great follower of Jesus and she always shared His love with all she met. I know she’s rejoicing in Glory now....
What wonderful person! I will always remember the visits and chats we had! She and Uncle Paul were an inspiration!!
