Warren L. Call's Obituary
Decatur-Warren Call, 86, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, October 07, 2015 at Heartland Care Center in Decatur.
Warren was born March 2, 1929 in Altamont to David and Minnie Rachel (Higgs) Call. He married Irma Y. Hansen on June 23, 1957 in Pontiac, IL. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. He was a civilian officer at the Army Reserve Center in Decatur, retiring in 1993.Warren had a great sense of humor and enjoyed having coffee with his friends in the mornings.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irma; his two daughters, Gayle (Gary) Flick of Leawood, KS and Sherri (Ronnie) Kerr of McKinney, TX; four grandchildren, Allyson Flick, Grant Flick, Amber Kerr and Austin Kerr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and two sisters.
Services to celebrate Warren’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 303 E. Maryland Decatur, with Pastor Robert Bruer officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial with military rites will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Concordia Lutheran Church.
