My deepest sympathies on the passing of your sweet husband Gertrude. Nothing but fond memories of DANK Decatur and family friendships through the years. May God bless you and your family and give you strength and peace in the days ahead. Much love and hugs. Melissa (Machalek) Hart and family

Deb and I were just talking about Bill yesterday and we were shocked when we found this obit today. I worked with Bill in the plant engineering department at Delco Remy in Anderson, Indiana, and Albany, Georgia. We were great friends with Bill and Mary Helen and enjoyed our time together in Georgia.
Bill was so enjoyable to be around with his humor and happiness for life. It has been a few years since I talked to him as he was wintering in Texas at that time. We went on a few golf trips together and always had a great time enjoying our shared passion for the game.
Tim, Troy, Tracie and Gertrude our deepest sympathy to you all and your families.
We loved Bill and send our love you you all.

The time has come for me to leave this life here.
[7]I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race.
I have served the Lord faithfully.
[8]Now, a prize is waiting for me—the crown that will
show I am right with God.
Bill was a man of God. He showed kindness and love to everyone he came in contact with. He would always greet you with a big smile when you walked through the door at church. RIP Bill. You will surely be missed.
Carl and I want to express our sympathy to Gerti and family. Bill was so friendly and considerate to all and we will miss him greatly as I know you will Gerti. I know you will understand Gerti the reason we won t b able to attend the funeral as I am just not getting around that good yet. Take care. Jeanie and Carl N.
